The Nova Scotia Society
of Occupational Therapists’ Education and Research Fund (NSERF)
is administered by COTF and allows NSSOT members to have access
to funds that support education and research initiatives. $1000.00
per year is offered in education and research support.
The NSERF applications are accepted twice yearly: March 1st and
September 1st. Please see the following attachments: Application
Form and Application
Procedure.
To be considered for one of these awards you must:
- Be planning to attend or have attended a recent education session or course for which costs are associated.
- Have a demonstrated need for financial support.
- Complete an NSERF application that can be downloaded from the NSSOT website.
- Submit the NSERF application and all required documents to the NSSOT office (faxes are accepted) on or before the March 1st or September 1st deadline.
NSSOT requires the support of members in order to keep this funding process active. If you are interested in volunteering for NSSOT you may consider a volunteer position in the NSERF Committee. You may contribute in two capacities 1) Processing of applications, 2) Fundraising for NSERF so that the amount offered every year continues to grow. Please contact the NSSOT office or your regional representative for further information. You can also make tax deductible donations to the fund directly through COTF.
